No Shame Cast episode #005 - Shane Byrne. When a Hooligan met a Hooker! On this weeks episode of No Shame Paddy sat down with former Irish rugby International and former British and Irish Lion Shane “The Mullet” Byrne. Paddy and Shane had a good laugh comparing MMA and Rugby mentality and what it takes to be a professional sports star. Shane famous for his 80’s style mullet hairstyle played in the hooker position and became a Irish rugby fan favourite.
Since ending his rugby career Shane has successfully transitioned into the world of sports punditry being the go to guy for Irish news outlets. Shane is also a team captain on the Irish television show ‘Know the score’. When not in the media spotlight Shane runs a successful waste management company in his native Arklow Co.Wicklow Ireland.
