Eoin is a specialist when it comes to nutrition & discusses the recent 'Snake Oil' comments from Taoiseach Leo Varadkar in relation to food supplements. Lacey also highlights some interesting studies involving cornflakes, sugar & rats, (in no particular order) that outline the harmful side effects processed foods have on our health.

The fundamental part of any successful training regime is good nutrition & eating at the right time. Eoin talks about some of the reasons why people lack energy on certain diets & how poor nutrition puts you on the back foot before you've even stepped onto the gym floor. Lacey also highlights the importance of balance & is a firm believer in functional training.

Ultimately it's not about looking stronger but rather being as strong as you can be for the task in hand. His theory is that fitness should never be a factor when competing as it's the one area of an athlete's game that can be controlled. Paddy & Eoin cover various other topics in episode #063 including steroid use, UFC 234, the Irish Invasion era, today's youth, social media & that infamous sandal story involving Cathal Pendred.
